About Cremisan

Cremisan Winery was founded in 1885, making it the first winery in Palestine. For more than 140 years, the Salesian Province of the Middle East has stewarded this historic estate on the slopes of the Cremisan Valley in Bethlehem, cultivating indigenous grape varieties and producing wines that honour the land, the climate, and the people who tend it. From the stone cellars carved into the hillside to the vineyards that overlook the ancient landscape of Bethlehem, every bottle carries a story of faith, perseverance, and craftsmanship passed down through generations.

Our heritage is rooted in a deep respect for tradition and a commitment to quality. We continue to farm indigenous Palestinian grapes, preserving agricultural biodiversity while offering wines that are authentic to this place and time. Cremisan is more than a winery — it is a living testament to Palestinian heritage and a gathering place for the community.

At the heart of the estate stands the Cremisan Winery, where winemaking has been practiced for over a century.
